Tulsa County Transitional Living Center

The Tulsa County Social Services Transitional Living Center (TLC) also known as the Emergency Shelter is a non-congregate temporary shelter for individuals, couples, and families experiencing homelessness. We’re working to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.

We expect that all clients in our program follow the TLC rules to ensure a safe and secure environment to overcome homelessness, maintain and save their income, make daily progress toward their goals, keep their case manager informed, and focus on their own progress, not other residents.

TLC Criteria

We accept individuals (male or female), couples, and families experiencing homelessness if they agree to progress through our program. Our goal is for you to succeed. If you do your part, we will keep you accountable and provide support to help you reach your objectives. Goal of 90 days to housing.

Clients must:

  • Ability to manage their own and/or their own family’s daily mental and physical needs.
  • No use drugs or alcohol in the program.
  • Adherence to the center regulations such as saving for housing, securing and maintaining employment, curfew compliance, etc.
  • Full TLC rules will be discussed and must be understood, agreed upon, and signed before being accepted into the program.

Case Management

Our Specialists help our clients with a range of services including assistance in obtaining vital documents, accessing medical and or mental health services, crafting resumes, securing employment, and saving for housing. Most importantly, our team is dedicated to helping clients navigate the housing systems and ultimately achieve their goal of securing permanent housing.

Tulsa County Pharmacy

All clients can access our pharmacy for prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) meds at no charge. (We do not have narcotics or schedule II drugs.)

Family & Individual Support Services

Tailored care plans are developed by collecting information from assessments and family interviews to address medical, mental health, social, educational, and other service needs relevant to both the individual and family goals. These plans promote success strategies.
