FUN IN THE SUN 2024 SUMMER DAY CAMP

Campers will engage in teamwork, creativity, and exploration as they embark on thrilling adventures in Art, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and Athletics! Every week is jam-packed with excitement, from engaging field trips to refreshing swimming sessions, hands-on arts and crafts, invigorating nature hikes, and so much more! Ages:
6-12 years old
*Must be 6 years-old by camp start date.
*Must not be older than 12 before start date.
Times:
Before Care: 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
Camp: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
After Care: 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Before Care and After Care included in the entire price.
Fee:
$150 per camper, per week
Price includes week of camp activities, t-shirt, field trip, expert speaker, swim day.
COUNSELORS IN TRAINING (CIT):
Our Counselors in Training (CIT) program is for 13-14 years olds for $100 per week. CIT’s are under the guidance of camp coordinators and help the camp staff with program development and supervision of participants. To sign up, please contact Meagan Ross at mross@tulsacounty.org.
PAYMENT DEADLINES:
Full payment of the desired week of summer camp is due the Monday prior to each registered week. Payment can be made either on the RecDesk website, by calling (918) 596-5985 or by paying in-person at our Administration Office: 218 W. 6th St., Suite 230 Tulsa, OK 74119. Tulsa County Parks Department accepts payment of cash and credit card (Visa, MC, Discover).

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR DAY CAMP?
Registration must be done online. Openings in camp sessions are first come, first serve.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TO CAMP?
Everyday essential items include a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and lunch in a backpack or bag. Please label your child’s name on all of their belongings.
WHAT ABOUT LUNCH/SNACKS?
Lunch, snacks, and drinks should be brought daily (unless otherwise noted). Lunches will be stored in campers’ cubbies. Please do not send lunches that require refrigeration or use of a microwave. No nuts or peanut butter.
WHAT ABOUT FIELD TRIPS?
Campers will venture out on one major outing a week. Staff will take campers on a field trip using a 12-passenger van. All trips are paid for, but campers may bring extra spending money.
WHAT DOES MY CAMPER NEED TO WEAR TO CAMP?
Comfortable summer clothes! Shorts, t-shirts, tank tops (no midriffs), and sneakers. NO SANDALS. On field trip days, campers are to wear the day camp shirt that is provided.
WHAT IS THE CAMPER-TO-STAFF RATIO?
The camp will consist of counselors under the general supervision of the Center Activities Coordinator and Recreation Leaders.
6 - 8 yrs. old: one staff member to eight campers
9 - 12 yrs. old: one staff member to ten campers
