Mental Health and Psychological Services

The Mental Health & Psychological Services department provides vital therapeutic services to youth and families served across the entire organization in order to ensure that youth have access to mental health counseling, therapeutic and educational groups, crisis intervention services, and case management. Additionally, our full-time psychologist provides psychological evaluation services and guidance for FCJJ staff regarding treatment recommendations. Generous funding from the George Kaiser Family Foundation has continued to support the growth of the Mental Health Evaluation Team (MHET) program, which identifies imperative mental health needs of youth and connects families to specialized treatment services.
